Executive summary

Consistency is the C that transforms loose interactions into a single decision thread. Without it, every handoff is a reset; with it, Contexto, Coerência, Curadoria, and Conversão actually work.

Key takeaways
  • Consistency is the eighth C of MCI, within the Multiplicador de Receita block
  • Inconsistency burns Confiança in seconds and opens a Decision Gap
  • The other Cs of the Multiplier (Custo, Conveniência, Confiança) depend on Consistency
  • The Overlay Operacional is the infrastructure that makes Consistency a state, not an exhortation

Conversational Consistency: Why it is the Decisive C of the Multiplier

Of all the 8Cs of MCI, Consistency is what most separates operations that scale from those that merely grow in volume. Without consistency, every channel becomes a different company for the same customer — and the relational credit built in one shift is burned in the next.

What Consistency means in MCI

Consistency is the eighth C, within the Multiplicador de Receita block (along with Custo, Conveniência, and Confiança). It demands that price, deadline, policy, and tone be identical on WhatsApp, the website, the call center, email, and the IAm agent. A single voice for the company, at any touchpoint, at any time.

It is not aesthetic uniformity: it is operational coherence. Inconsistency burns Confiança in seconds and opens a Decision Gap — the customer stops deciding because the company has stopped being one single entity.

Why it is decisive in the Multiplier

The three other Cs of the Multiplier depend on it:

  • Custo rises when the operation needs to "remedy" inconsistencies (courtesies, refunds, cycle reopening).
  • Conveniência drops when the customer needs to "check" what they heard from three different channels.
  • Confiança evaporates with every discrepancy between what was promised and what is fulfilled.

Without Consistency, the Multiplier operates in the negative: it amplifies losses instead of margin.

Operational signs of broken Consistency

  • Complaints of "someone told me something else."
  • Frequent courtesies to compensate for unfulfilled promises.
  • Re-quoting within the same cycle, across different channels.
  • Conversation Score dropping during handoffs between channels.

How the Overlay Operacional protects Consistency

Consistency is technically sustained by the Overlay Operacional — the shared memory layer that injects the same Crachá de Contexto, the same Bandeja de Contexto, and the same policy into all channels. Without the overlay, consistency is an exhortation; with the overlay, it is an operational state.

Consistency in one sentence

One single voice for the company, in any channel, at any time — or the Multiplier operates against you.

Frequently asked questions

Is Consistency the same as Continuity?
No. Consistency is one of the canonical 8Cs of MCI (8th C, Multiplicador de Receita block) and deals with a single voice for the company across all channels. Continuity describes an operational effect — the conversation surviving handoffs — but it is not one of the Cs of the framework.
Why is Consistency in the Multiplier and not in the Motor?
Because it operates on the margin: it amplifies the results of the Motor da Conversa (Cliente, Contexto, Conteúdo, Comunicação). Without a calibrated Motor, Consistency has nothing to multiply; but with a calibrated Motor and broken Consistency, the Multiplier operates in the negative.
